A little more about Kat:
Interesting Fact:
Kat’s дідо and баба (great grandad and great grandma) came over to England during world war 2 after being captured by nazis. Her great grandad was forced to dig graves whilst her great grandma worked in the kitchens and would sneak extra food to the people who were captured there. Following their escape, they found themselves in Skipton, North Yorkshire where they lived for many years. Kat still has family in Ukraine, but since the war it’s been very hard for her – though luckily her family live close to the Polish border and not in any of the main cities. Kat’s grandma taught her Ukrainian and her brother helps run a club to help Ukrainians and refugees, which has become a lovely little community.
