Murder mystery actor Rob has over thirty years theatrical experience, encompassing many of the most famous character roles in Musical Theatre. These include Alfie Doolittle in “My Fair Lady”, Daddy Warbucks in “Annie” and Bill Sikes in “Oliver!”

Recently he made his Shakespearean bow, playing Lord Capulet in a production of “Romeo and Juliet” at the Leeds Carriageworks Theatre.  Appearing as Tosh in John Godber’s “Salt of the Earth” he drew praise from the author himself. He’s also played Arkwright in the only officially-sanctioned stage production of Ronnie Barker’s “Open All Hours”.

With a background in both the theatre and educational work, Rob has also facilitated drama workshops in a school setting. Notably he helped develop themes from “Pride and Prejudice” into pieces of contemporary drama.  In addition Rob also has considerable experience of film work.

Other theatrical work

Rob has appeared in several professional pantomime seasons, usually as the villain, but has also taken on comedy roles.

A strong performer with a formidable physical presence, Rob is equally at home working on scripted drama, or in improvised pieces.  He is trained in stage combat, specifically swordplay.

Rob has also appeared in radio productions, notably for Cornucopia Radio, a Sheffield-based station where his performance in the radio drama “Green” was nominated for a Best Actor award.
